Thanks Dave for the info. I was always under the impression that it was in Donegal because I thought they would be using the corridor. The Flight Engineer on this aircraft was my uncle Raymond R. Perkins who had just been promoted to Pilot Officer from the ranks. He had completed several tours in Bomber Command, taking part in the Thousand bomber raids and finishing on Halifaxs. I haven't any futher details as most of his logs and equipment was destroyed by his mother after his death. He is buried at Basingstoke, Hants., his home town. Thanks again for the info. Best Ken.
