Hi,

back in 1992 I cut out of a local gazette an article about a RCAF Spitfire that flew into a hill (Moel Cynghordy) in the Maesteg area on Tuesday September 29th 1942. It was based at RAF Fairwood Common, now Swansea airport and the pilot killed was Sergeant Norman Hugh Mackay (the Commonwealth War Graves Commission website lists his name and details). I've contacted the RAF Museum and they don't have any records of it, does anybody?

regards
Chris James
