I came across Bernard Short's grave at Ringway Church at the weekend. A small group of aviation enthusisasts are gathering at Manchester Airport on the 10th august. As I have a strong interest in the history of World War Two, I propose to tidy the grave a little and lay a wreath in the meemory of Capatain Short and Flight Engineer Bird.

I would also like permission to post details of the accident and Captain Short's photograph on another forum. If possible, I would also like to get in contact with Captain Short's son.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Regards,

Kevin Mears
