Hi there, can anyone answer this question?

why did the RAF remove the wreckage of an Anson in 1939 but not remove the wreckage of a Vampire in 1953? Both sites are very close to each other in the Brecon Beacons and if they were able to remove wreckage in 1939 why did they choose to leave the Vampire wreckage there in 1953? Don't get me wrong, I think that these crash sites should remain where they are and not be disturbed but I find it odd why this is.

regards
Chrisj
