It is not surprising that TT didn't what to know, they dig things up for TV, what happens after that is up to the group who gave them the idea in the first place. After all this is the real world.

I have to say I don't agree with the sale of items from digs, I think nost of the stuff on ebay is from a couple of people from the same group in the SE of England.

The problem with the TT excavations is when they dig it up they don't throw back the bits of scrap we would normally say were better off in the ground and then the local group ends up with items not suitable for display. Thats what happened with the TT dig I went on, we were picking through bits for ones suitable for display and chucking back the scrap when one of the archaeology students came over and wanted to know what we were doing with the important artifacts.

Why would a tv company who's primary aim is making reasonable tv of a dig suddenly not want to dig things up? Preservation in situ doesn't make good tv.
