Well at long last:

The RAF appear to have found my Hastings wreck from 1960 that crashed 1.5 miles East of the runway line off the former RAF Base at Gan, Maldives. A team of divers from the JSDU/RAFSAA are operating from the support vessel BLUE SHARK between 26th Jan and 11th Feb 2004. I guess they want to get to the 'diplomatic mail' bags before anyone else now that it is known what was on board. I always thought we ditched in deep water but apparently not. Looking forward to retrieving my personal possessions and leave money but that I reckon is wishful thinking!

Although not connected to your wreckology area, persistence pays!
