Hi,

Spitfire X4913, 53 OTU RAF Llandow, has the distinction for being the longest missing aircraft in Britain's hills. It disappeared on 03/11/41 and was found by a farmer rounding up his sheep on 10/07/42 on the north-east face of Pen-y-Fan.

Lancaster W4929, 1661 HCU RAF Winthorpe, crashed into Garn Las 06/09/43 on a night navex, all crew killed.

regards
Chrisj
