Does anyone know if the special edition of the fly (1986) will be released on VHS as well as DVD?

I will get a DVD player soon, but alot of my friends who enjoy the film may not, and they are annoyed that it may not get a release.

Okay, so DVD is much better quality and has more potential as a SE, but I don't see the harm in releasing the deleted scenes and maybe a documentary on video.

Any thoughts?

Kenneth

VHS is much fidlly thing to do, Tapes are copied from a master yet with DVDs you only have to copy data.

my advice is get DVD player. you won't regret it. If a few odd years VHS will be off the market anyway.

Mutronborg is right. Sooner or later VHS will be obsolete and DVD will rule as supreme. But how are we gonna record on DVD? Think about it! Plus Terristrial TV will be gone and digital will rule we will soon be in a digital age.

You can record on DVD's. Very expensive though.

they have already released DVD recorders except they are very expensive. they will prop work the same as a normal video with "chapters" for each recording.

Yes.

I assume they work in the same way as CD re-writers for PC's.
