Subject: Yet another question...

Okay, I have yet ANOTHER ridiculous question about THE FLY!
After Seth kidnaps Ronnie from the clinic, and they're having the whole heartbreaking discussion about killing all that's left of the real Brundle, Ronnie says, "I can't have it. I'm afraid." After she says this, Seth says, "Too bad...too bad..." By this, did he mean, "Too bad - you're gonna have that baby whether you want to or not!" or did he mean, "Too bad that you don't want to have it...well, that's it for the real me!"
It's confusing me a bit, since those would be two completely different viewpoints.

I always thought he might have meant this:
If she had the baby, he wouldn't have tried to fuse himself with her. But as she refused too, the only way to allow Brundle to live was by going through with the experiment. So it was "Too bad" that she never chose the option of giving birth.

It could mean alot of things though. Who know's what was going on in Seth's head at that point?

Chris

Yeah, poor Seth. That scene always strikes me as terribly sad, since he's actually crying about having lost his humanity, and Ronnie's almost too afraid to help him. I feel sorry for them. I also feel sorry for Stathis, considering the reward he's about to get for going all heroic to save Ronnie.
I ALSO feel sorry for the abortion clinic doctor, Brian (?). He must be incredibly confused...

Yeah...Stathis said, "A man who is deformed." I can imagine the doctor going, "You said deformed. You did NOT say mutated insect-creature!!" :)

I always thought it meant "Too bad that you don't want to have it... well, that's it for the real me!"

Never thought it meant something else.
