] Date Posted: 06:50:59 12/15/01 Sat Hello! I'm a newbie to this site,though I've been lurking for awhile, and let me tell you, it's so wonderful to know that there are others out there just like me! I didn't believe anyone was as obsessed w/ the 1986 fly as much (or even more!) than me! It's wonderful to be among my own kind, finally...I guess I should say a bit about myself- My real name is Michelle, but I go under Dr. Seth in many circles. It's actually the name of a character I made myself, but I borrowed the first name from our dear Seth Brundle. My favorite fly is the 1986 version (obviously)and I really can't pick just one non-fly movie to be my favorite. I love film, and I have plans to become a movie director, right in line w/ cronenberg and tim burton. My fly memorabilia is sort of scarce- I have the vhs (don't remember which version, I'll have to look), about two fangorias- one about jeff goldblum, one about the fly 2 (again, I"ll have to look for the dates) I have the toy (I just about died in shock and bliss when I saw it!) and I also have the movie poster. That's about it. I've already been inspired to write a fanfic about the fly and I'll get around to it as soon as my portfolio for my college is finished, so it might be awhile. Where do y'alls go for fly fanfiction, anyhow? I haven't found any, and I look for it at fanfiction.net, among other sources. Thanks for the great site! I am going to go to the guest book and post some ideas for wav. files, though, because I saw that you have some really good ones, but there are several lines that are on my dream list for sound bites and I would just love it if they could be transfered (if it's not too much to ask.) Funny fly wav. file story- I had forgotten that I had changed the "turn on" sound on my computer to the wav. of seth breaking the post (does this look like a sick man to you?) and I went to the other room for a moment to retrieve something. We had a burglary recently, so I was just frightened out of my mind when I suddenly heard an angry man screaming and breaking something. Aint' that swell? :) thanks again! Date Posted: 13:44:24 12/15/01 Sat They have two telepods, from the 86 movie, at either side of the stage. during the show, they talk about special effects. My mom got to have her picture taken with a creeping ghoulie, and saw one guy "cut" his hand up. Then at the end of the show (mom couldn't participate in this part)they "teleport" some guy, with much fog and what have you, then he comes out with a 58 fly head, then he goes back to normal on the other end. It's not very impressive or anything, it's just seeing the teleporters!!! [ Post a Reply to This Message ] |
