have you ever thought about why the fly didn't gradually turn into a human/fly? could it be that the computer knew that brundle was going through cos he had set-up the transportation with his details prior to it? any thoughts?

I thought about that, too - maybe somewhere in the warehouse there exists a little mini version of Brundlefly, or of Brundle himself (though THAT one's unlikely, even in THIS storyline). Anyway, the little guy wouldn't last too long - we all know from the original film what happens to tiny flies with human brains...
But maybe the computer DID know what was going on. Perhaps it resented that remark Seth made about computers being "dumb." Who knows?

Okay, the fly itself NEVER came out of the Telepod. Only the DNA survived, and was fused with Brundle's. They became ONE entity.

right...you misunderstand. now i mean like brundle came out after the transportation in his normal form and gradually turned into brundlefly. so why couldn't the fly have emerged after the teleportation in its normal form and gradually transformed into one human/fly entity rather than the other way round? that is the question...
