"JAG", the long-running hit show from CBS, is now casting many starring and supporting roles for Episode 197: "Crash". This episode will film about a week after New Year's Day.

This Emmy-winning adventure-drama is about an elite legal wing of officers trained as lawyers who investigate, prosecute and defend those accused of crimes in the military, including murder, treason and terrorism.

The show stars David James Elliot as Commander Harmon "Harm" Rabb and Catherine Bell as Lieutenant Colonel Sarah "Mac" Mackenzie. The series was created by Don Bellisario, who also produced "Quantum Leap" and "Magnum P.I."

The episode now casting is about Harm and Mac investigating a suspicious crash of a Navy plane which tragically nose-dived into the back of a carrier.

MALES

"Commander Bob Stanich", any ethnicity, mid 30s - 40s. A hardnosed man, he is Lt. Ross' commanding officer, whose plane recently crashed during landing. No-nonsense and direct, he is saddened by Ross' death, but harbors no culpability, claiming that he did not did not take Lt. Ross' comments about possibly taking his own life seriously. GUEST STAR.

"Petty Officer First Class Joe Dakey", Caucasian, 20s. He is a Navy computer technician, but not a geek. This regular guy was responsible for programming the path followed by Lt. Jim Ross on the fateful night his plane crashed into the carrier. We learn of his unwitting part in the tragedy after he admits to tweaking the system, over-correcting an error that resulted in Lt. Ross' death.

"Captain Gary Goldman", Caucasian, mid to late 30s. The Air Wing Commander on board the carrier, he is only too happy to help with the crash investigation. He feels strongly that Commander Stanich's inaction in this case warrants an investigation. He then relieves Stanich of his command, effective immediately. He later participates in a bit of scheming concocted by Harm in an effort to get to the truth. GUEST STAR

"Air Controller", any ethnicity, mid - late 20s, male or female. A Petty Officer First Class, he/she is the Air Controller, guiding Lt. Ross to landing when suddenly the plane crashes into the carrier. He/she, too, helps Harm, with a re-creation of events leading up to the crash. GUEST STAR

"Navy Lieutenant Jim Ross", Caucasian, mid 20s - 30s. He's an all-American and very fit young guy. This Navy lieutenant is bringing his plane in when suddenly it crashes into the back of the carrier.

"Chief Petty Officer Bill Chandler", Caucasian, mid 40s. This working class guy is the squadron's Maintenance Chief. When questioned about the fatal crash landing, he has nothing to hide. Later, however, he confesses to Mac and Harm that Lt. Ross had been acting strangely since returning to duty, and had mentioned that he didn't care if he lived or died. GUEST STAR

FEMALES: 

"Arlene Ross", Caucasian, 20s. She's pretty in a girl-next-door kind of way. This character is the recent widow of Lt. Ross. She is initially reluctant to testify regarding her husband's death, unwilling to admit he may have killed himself. Later, however, on the stand, she blames Commander Stanich for the tragedy. GUEST STAR

"Elenor Drabowski", any ethnicity, 40s. An energetic woman with high standards, she is Mattie's English teacher. Clearly not pleased when Harm fails to show for a meeting, she infuriates Mattie by questioning Harm's parenting skills. GUEST STAR

"Air Controller", any ethnicity, mid 20s - 30s, male or female. A Petty Officer First Class, he/she is the Air Controller, guiding Lt. Ross to landing when suddenly the plane crashes into the carrier. He/she, too, helps Harm, with a re-creation of events leading up to the crash. GUEST STAR
