I just got back from the GVRD /HR McMillan event tonight at Colony Farms. Phill, Brian, Clive, Janeen, Rene, Nicole, Kim and I all showed up from the FVAS (Those green coats were everywhere) as well as Bill Ronald and one other RASC member (I'm so bad with names) all volunteering to help out with the event. Even though there was cloud cover, it was a lot of fun. Lynn from the GVRD was really surprised with the number of amateur astronomers that showed up to help. There were about 200 people who showed up for the event. Even our daughter, Laura got to help some people with her basic understanding of astornomy. I almost didn't go due to the clouds, but so glad I did. Thank you all for helping out. I think we really left an impression with the GVRD and with Bill Burnyeat of the HR McMillan Space Centre.
