I'm an adult. Most ortho's will not ask an adult if you want headgear. If you're comfortable getting and wearing metal braces. Getting headgear should be no big deal. Ask the ortho. It may speed-up the time wearing braces by up to 6 months. I wear the headgear 12 hours a day (i'm married and have 3 kids)This is cutting my time in braces by 6-7 months.
