He hoped that he didn't sound like he didn't care, he just didn't know how to tell her. He smirks. My best friend died like a year ago. He O-D'ed while we were surfing. He gives a half-hearted laugh. Son of a bitch, all we did was surf and do drugs. But he wouldn't quit. He was like 14. What a waste of time ya know? He looks over to her from his position- sitting side ways with his back leaning against the wall. I tried to quit surfing. It's like a drug to me. Sounds stupid. But no matter what happend I just surfed it all away. He scratches the back of his head. I guess its better than like running away or drinking, ya know?^_
