K/S, i agree with you 100% about 'nam, and about 85% on iraq. there is other reasons not being told for this war with iraq thing, and, i believe money is involved somewhere in the equation.
that said, i find it hard to swallow about the "famous" people that take it onto themselves to formulate foreign policy by appearing in the camps of our opponents. who elected them to speak on my countrys' behalf? past history has taught me that in the end, they cost more american lives.
i don't believe they do it for patriotic reasons. i think it's for purely selfish promotional images.
it still galls me that 30yrs latter jane fonda wasn't prosecuted for treason or, at least, aiding and abetting.

i think america has gotten too quick to use weapons. i liked it better, pre korea, when we only reacted to force used against us.
in my opinion, the u.n. should be the police of the world.
