earth..i think the idea deserves consideration. all means available should be used against those that prey on youths' thrill seeking although, i don't think it would be a good idea to police the kids themselves.
after my step-father got to be an old man, he told of belonging to the KKK when he was a young man(1920s) he said they rode to punish men that were mistreating their wives. wives that were lazy and didn't care for their kids. he said when it got quiet and things smoothed out in the area the guys would get boozed up and want to pay blacks a call. he said he never had a desire for that and quit when it turned racial.
how's this for strange but true? there's a family secret that a distant cousin was hung by the KKK. mom would never say why. said it happened when she was a small child.
never heard if he died or was just being harshly punished.
they hung him off of a railroad trestle and would stomp his fingers when he climbed back up the rope. he wasn't black.

what i'm saying, earth, your husbands' group could turn out with simular traits if left un-attended. power can cause well meaning groups to branch out to other targets.
