My Finn great uncle was a veteran. He sometimes told of the war against the Russians during the early 1940:ies. Judging by what he said happened, I do believe you when you say 'afterwards everything was like a rainbow'. Where he was, it was a bit colder and they fouhgt on skis during winter. He even started to feel cold when he remembered things. We spoke in the middle of the summer and he said "feel my hands" and when I took them, they were as cold as ice.

That is a thing I haven't read about yet but intended to do. Quite a long time ago I did print out a Shawnee historical text composed and published at a site I can't remember the name of right now by an Indian. If I read something about Indians, I prefer to read texts by themselves only.
