Same here with my dad and me. He grew up with music at home; my grandparents used to play the mandolin and guitarr and sing together (now that dad is retired, he sings in two choirs). As dad grew up during the 1950s, he has quite a few rock 'n roll records he used to play when I was a child, so that's what we shared and still remember and sometimes even join in the singing (and exaggerate if we're in a silly mood) when one of the old songs is on the radio.
