Cube is cool!

I just got an email last evening that says they are now shipping the G5.

Yah, I was a "switcher", started computer use on Windows op systems. I had trouble with Mac OS just because it's TOO simple. Like drag n' drop. I would spend 15 0r 20 minutes looking for a way to install something I had downloaded, when all I had to do was drag it off the desktop into the application folder.
Same thing when I got my zip drive. I thought I needed to go through some extensive installation, when all I needed to do was plug it in, and then start dragging files to the zip icon that popped up on the desktop.

Which is actually one of the best reasons for the Jag OS X- you can plug almost ANYTHING into it and start using it immediately- your computer can see it without any real hassle. I have found that the bigest issues so far have been when the computer predates the software somewhat. But on apples, it's not nearly as much of a prob as on Windows pc's, I have yet to crash my entire computer with a software mismatch.

Yah, my school offers a package deal on the Office Suite for mac and a lot of the prof's encourage us to do our projects with PowerPoint, Excel, etc.
Too bad. It's the CONTENT, not the presentation that matters.

(You should still check out MarinerWrite- it's dirt cheap, has a small footprint, easy download from the site. )
