I think there has been a terrible mistake, I believe OnB was in fact just trying to protect the cookies.

Oh no, who is looking after those horses while he is locked up.

Jam, you say? Hmm, does this mean he had a secret stash of donuts in the pantry? Or cream cakes. He kept that very quiet.

But how do you know he wasn't just trying to rescue that cookie your partner had in his pocket?
