I've got to get this off my chest - didn't know where to put it though.

My husband's office Christmas party was held last night at my favorite restaurant. I haven't worn a dress in years, but I had a really nice one my son bought me a while ago. When I put on the dress, I was surprised I looked so good - well, from the neck down, lol. My husband had a smile from ear to ear and said he couldn't wait for his coworkers to meet me - said I looked like a supermodel!

I was excited to meet them too. I get a real kick out of meeting new people, always have enjoyed walking into a room filled with strangers. I really enjoy listening to new stories and opinions.

We arrived early and met a few of his coworkers at the bar. We were having such a good time, but then I noticed the noise in the room started to become distant (a signal that my blood pressure was dropping). It was impossible for me to lay down, so I tried to lower my head at the bar without looking too conspicuous. It didn't work - I only got worse - the room started spinning. My husband tried to walk me over to the bench near the front of the restaurant, but I fainted in his arms when I stood up. I woke up on the bench, then after a few minutes he walked me out to the van and drove me home. I was too sick to eat or even look at food.

Fortunately, it wasn't too far away so he was able to make it back to the restaurant before the dinner started.

This REALLY makes me mad. It gets so lonely being stuck in the house all the time. I really miss socializing with people in real time. The women in his office are a little uppity and don't care much for my husband. I've always been pretty good around uppity people. I was looking forward to showing those women how wrong they are about my wonderful husband - in a polite and cordial way, of course.

Yeah, I sure made a good impression, didn't I? Not only am I skinny now, I've turned into a total lightweight! There isn't a dayum thing I can do about it - 'cept bitch and moan, lol.

Thanks, I feel better now. As the northside Cubs fans say - oh well, maybe next year.
