I've done my share of skinny dipping. Always thought wearing clothes in the water was stupid. My eldest daughter didn't get a bathing suit until she was past 20, but she knew they existed.

Anyway, the worst ever (remember, I said stupid?) was snorkeling in Lake Tahoe. Three things about Tahoe:

It is way up on top of the Sierras.

The only source of water is snow melt, so the water is really cold.

It has great visibility, and you can see all kinds of interesting things.

So, there I was up there at high altitude where the atmosphere does not protect you at all, and because I am swimming in ice water I can't feel a thing, and because it is so interesting and I am using a snorkel I float around on my belly for a long, long time.

Yes, even an Indian can sunburn if he's dumb enough...
