I think there is a lot of truth in that, people being abrasive and aggressive because that is wha they know. Wakute used to lash out a lot, clearly venting, as he said, although he also used to post in a quite friendly and humorous way as well. Wakute under a new name on the new board seems to be as you said more gentle, although his posts still have sting in them when he wants to. He makes some very good points too, I think.
