I should tell you that I did not always believe that the lighter native should belong. I thought I knew it all and then I was put in my place. I never had to doubt who I was because I BQ is almost full. Then my daughter was born light
you know the ones that could pass. Her father was native but with a white grandmother. I had to protect her most of her life. Now my granddaughter is here and I love her so, she is blond and blue eyes. She is still an enrolled member and will live like us. How do I protect her?
One way was to change my views. I started to look around at many people who were of lighter color. My cousins, one is dark and the other light their Dad was white and we alway treated them differently. My one cousin would be served in resturant and the other was treated like us. Today my light cousin does not come home and hates us for being native. The other that is dark live here. We all do injustice to our people. I think God wanted to teach me a lesson. I do my best to change but it is hard. I still dislike wannabe like elmire. Earthw7
