yep i see theres some new changes...dang that tawodie is a looker aint she? not bad for a cherpkeet eh? :)

anyway, yep been back for a few actually. got back to Md on the 8th of Dec. but was just checkin things out here and at the new ndnz brd. that place ain't what it use to be, or i'm just not into postn too much anymo. even here i don't really care to post very much, maybe it's just me.

back home things were fine. my mom is doing a hell of a lot better now. she was diagnosed with ovarian cancer early this spring, even though i found out afterwards she had a hysterectomy back whenever.

anyway, theres come kinda count they take of the blood when they start doing chemo. her count was 2600 when they 1st started but at the last count before i got home it was 381. So it's really going down quite a lot. she's lost all her hair and feels cold even though its very warm inside the house.
but i think thats only due to the chemo therapy. once that is over, she will be able to take the northern Az cold again as she has for the past 78yrs.

you wouldn't know it but at first the Dr's told us just to take her home and make her comfortable because they couldn't do anything for her. So we did, then had 3 or 4 ceremonies for her. afterwards, due to a bloating belly, she was taken back to the hosp where they drained some kinda cancerous fluid from her belly. when they did some more tests, they surprisingly announced that they could do something for her afterall. so they started chemo.
now she's on the verge of total health once again.

in my family, there is no history of cancer. but my dad worked at a uranium mine back in the late 50's, also worked downwind from a uranium mine in the early 60's. and my mom washed his clothes.
incidentally, when my father died by accident in '86, his autopsy revealed also the beginning stages of cancer.

also i got to witness yei'be'chai running around from house to house prior to a ceremony. they do that to ask for offerings from households and a blessing on the people. I didn't go to the ceremony because it was out in rough part of the rez and my rental car wouldn't have made it. would've probably tore the bottom out and i woulda had to pay for it.

i stopped off and played in Vegas too. thats where i went to the airport. i won a 100$ but gradually lost it back throughout the day. but now i know about gambling and i'm gonna go to atlantic city and practice... :)

okay, i'll check out the members map, whatever that is......
