Subject: Chapter 56: Steps Prepared

The sun had just fully risen in the desert and the only thing keeping this from being a perfect morning was the fact that I was stuck waiting as I had been for more than 2 hours waiting for the one that had issued the challenge to show up

“Why did I agree to this?” I asked myself

“ Because then you were fully awake and thought it might be fun.”

“Was I really that stupid?”

“You have to ask that question?”

“Ok, talking to yourself is bad but do you have to answer yourself as well?” Heathen stated as she touched down. “Now why are we out in the middle of nowhere?”

“Well you and I both know that I don’t have full control of all my power yet and this is the closest safe place on dry land.” She frowned as I said this.

“So Sparing Before Breakfast?” she groaned

“Unfourchinly yes, I know that we will all need to be at our best if we want to survive what is to come, to bad that is all I know.”

“Well Then lets get this over with, wait YOU did remember to reset your equipment to training mode right?”

“Do I look that forgetful?” The glare she shot me would have melted most terran metals “Ok dumb question! Of course I did.”

With that she drew her energy saber and I my energon broad sword and faced off, first the usual stare down to see who pull the first move and today I decided it would be…….ME!
I jumped over Her and ran strait at her making it look like Intended to run my sword though her, she swerved to the left as I went strait on thorough. I turned in time to see her collapse to her knees.

“How, you missed?” she asked as her suit recovered.

“With the sword yes I missed, but not with this.” I held up the gun in my other hand.

“Well in that case EAT THIS!! The Tri-pulse Phaser canon gave aloud wine as it charged up and let lose with it set on full rapid fire I had to fly to keep form getting hit as I returned fire from a multitude of firearms at my disposal but thanks to the suit and the fact my eyes still wished to be closed she ran and found better cover among a rocky out cropping and engaged the camo function blending into the terrain and damping her energy signature.

“Damn it’s to early in the morning for this.” But that was one of the reasons I wanted it at this time was that the enemies probably were not going to be respecting how we felt so this had to be second nature to us no matter how we felt I took cover my self and got out my Sniper rifle (the same style as the transporting rifle form DS9) and scanned the area for her the whine be hind me told me that I was too late, I ducked to keep my head form getting fried as her sword nearly got me, I show her for trying to trick me like that. I moved in close faster than she could track thanks to my temporal regulator

“Hertza Haeon.” I said as Tapped her form blurred lightly and she collapsed

“Oops” a little too much. Well that puts and end to the training for now I picked Heathen up and made my way to the coast for a little fishing and breakfast

As the fish cooked Heathen awoke.

“hhhhmmmm Boot to the head” came my muffled response

“Now we are even Next time warn me when you try something new!”

“Fish?” as I handed her one of the done ones

“How cute.” Both Heathen and I turned toward the voice and got our weapons at the ready.

“Now, now I did not come here to fight.” Leviathan sat down across from the both of us

“So what are you hear for?” Heathen asked icreadulesy

“Just to talk, and Breakfast, not bad “ Leviathan said as she took a fish and started.

“Talk about what? Food? I asked

“No more like your little show you two put on this morning, barely worth troubling our selves over if that is the best you can do.”

“WHAT????!!!!!” both of yelled at her

“Oh don’t worry I know you have other tricks up your sleeves, as well as your friends, but truth be told I don’t know why the master Is finishing the fusion project we wont need the power boost to defeat you.”

I had to restrain Heathen to keep her from decking the reploid that had just insulted us both.

“What’s the Fusion Project?” I asked trying to get as much info before my girlfriend lost it.

“Oh you know talking two beings and making one, Harpuia and Fafnir are almost done and then I am next.”

As Heathen calmed down she asked, “So whom are you guys getting fused with?”

“Oh now that would be telling, Well I must be going, my complements to the chef.” Leviathan then winked and blew a kiss at me then warped out.

“GGGGRRRR she was doing that to just piss me off!” Heathen grolwed

I just nodded and said, “Yes I believe she was.” “ They must feel pretty confident to let info like that out, and that info is a hole new shit pile Looks like we are doing a hole lot more training than I thought for today, although one plus is it seems that they are under estimating us. Lets just hope that is not our only break.
