Subject: Taking Delivery in Late March 2003

I will be buying my first M3 E46 SMG late this month (March 2003). It is like a dream come true, but after reading throught this website I am now concerned. The lease on the m3 is terrible, perhaps because it's a hedge against the engine failure...would anyone definately recommend that option for obvious reasons?
Is there any news on the latest production batch?
What should I know that the dealer doesn't want me to?

I appreciate anyone's advise on the matter.
