Subject: To BMW

Since I have worked in a production and factory environment and also have many many years of engine rebuild experience. I know exactly what your problem is.
Its all this "lean manufacture" and on time garbage that you manufactures now embrace. You all are more worrried about how clean the floors are than the product that you are manufacturing. You all miss treat your shop personel and force them to work in the so called "fast paced" shop. Well Mr. BMW it is just like a cook that accidently drops in some egg shells in the food he/she is preparing, and doesn't want to throw it away because of cost and time. Believe me it will come back and bite you.
Its like your engines that are having all these failures. Isn't it better to spend some extra time and get it right the first time? Rather than have to do the same thing over and over many times? In other words it is way better to slow down and pay for better people or what ever on the production lines or in the machine shops. Than to go to this recall hassel that you have brought on your self.
It is better to let an employee go home or stay home, than to force him to come to work, just to goof up either on purpose or by accident. You big companys are hanging your selves with the crappy treatment of your blue collar employees. And you well deserve to loose any of your big profits in having to replace these engines. All these people here that have had these problems deserve to have these replacement engines built from ALL NEW PARTS, and hand built by race engine builders, and not from some production line rebuild facility that uses cheap labor. Hamburger flippers don't build quality engines.
So Mr. BMW where did you OUT SOURCE THE BUILDING OF ALL THESE PROBLEM ENGINES? And how much "where" you supposed to save by doing it?
