Subject: M3 Engine failures

As you have seen there is now at least one failure in the march 2002 build time. I sold my 2002 M3 because the car isnt worth the hassle. My suggestion to M3 owners is to file a class action lawsuit or at the very least get all the owners with M3s to get together as a union of sorts and hire a lawyer to make BMW address the engine failure issues. By getting a lawyer and at least sending a letter on behalf of thousands of M3 owners, tells BMW that they cannot just fix cars and not address the problems with real answers. Right now BMW is fixing cars on a case by case basis and trying to put out the fire as it happens. What about guys who dont have engine failures but have cars in the build time frame? If they want to trade their cars will the dealer make an issue out of it? Will the possible buyer of a used M3 make an issue?? All this can hurt the value of your trade in or re sale. These large companie only do what they are forced to do. How many failures is enough? Too much??
