Started hearing that knocking sound that the 01 and 02 models did. I didn't realise the knocking sound was a manufacturing defect with the lower connecting rod and possible oil pump failure. ....few days ago my engine blew at 29000 miles. Had all maintance done prior to this. By this time I didn't realize there were issues with M3 engines failure. Its almost unheard of to hear an M3 engine fail. Will call bmw north west to file a claim/case.
