No problems to date with my engine. Currently have 10,263 miles. Have used 10-60 synthetic oil only. I had dealer change engine oil along with transmission oil and differential oil at 1,302 miles. At that time dealer found oil pan drain plug seized. Ordered new oil pan and installed (took about 2 weeks - during which time they left it on the lift). Had oil changed again at 6,633 miles.
My concern - how do I know if my engine is at risk? Studied statistical data and saw that my production date has low failure rate. Should an oil analysis be done and if so, what do you look for? Any lab to recommend?
