When making a repayment of an outstanding amount to a nasty capitalist money lender, always (innocently) attach a small yellow post it to the cheque, preferably in an important area such as the signature or the amount. Ensure this is very securely put on so that when (pre banking) it is removed from the cheque it takes the writing underneath with it.

This will buy a few more days to think up another excuse not to pay.
