Subject: fizz the advertising guru

Last year I was aware of AVCCs player recruitment push when two yobbish looking characters stuffed a flyer through my letterbox.

This year, I go into Fenwicks to buy my spare jumper for the forthcoming season (size : xxxl midriff), and what do I see glaring at me in the shop but a piece of advertising so brazen and blatant that it could not be ignored.

The mention of 'fun' and 'cricket' on this 'poster' left me with no option but to report it, your club and Fenwicks to the Trading Standards Officer, incidentally one Sandy Nicoll, one of our better bowlers of the last 15 years.

Last year my home was invaded, this year it is my sports retailer, where next I ask?

[only kidding, good on you JMcK for getting off your backside and trying to do something; hope it pays off for you. Hope you don't get too many abusive emails from supporters of other football clubs though cos seeing CONTACT FIZZ THE JAMBO in full colour in the shop window seems an invitation to Muirs patients to me!]
