Subject: Tour again


I know Martin is doing his best to get a touring party together but last I heard we were at six or seven AVCC guys. It looks pretty bleak for AVCC being able to provide a touring party.

We had that for Portugal but did not proceed by bringing in rent-a-tourists because the feeling was that if we did not make that tour as a club, then we shouldn't.

Martin is saying he is exploring other avenues to make up the shortfall in tourists and while this shows commitment to getting the tour on, I can't help wondering whether we are falling into the same scenario.

How does everyone feel about this?

If that is the way the guys that are going to tour want to go then fine but I will not be touring if the rest of the touring party are Mayfield or Luncarty guys, especially as quite a few of the non-tourists seem to be not going because of the particular weekend rather than being against the concept of the tour (Don, Muir, etc).
