I can see that indeed some tension has been released by last nights result and I am glad that this has come about as PRI are likely to have saved from this.

India played relatively well and well deserved their victory, however it does little to prove they are the second best ODI side in world cricket. Pakistan, South Africa, Sri Lanka and New Zealand all have equal grounding for that claim and it really comes down to who produces on the day.

I still feel India are inhibited by the problems I have already outlined and one bowling performance from a decent medium pacer has done little to change my opinion on their limitations. At least though they dropped Kumble for the eventual match winner, they are learning but not soon enough
