Subject: scottish cricket finances 2

as if the impact of the last message was not bad enough, it has emerged that Scotland are potentially going to have to pull out of the National League becuase they are short of £70k of sponsorship. They say they cannot do things that are budgeted to make a loss. Is it a loss, or is it not really an investment in the future of the Scottish game? I certainly think the guys will develop as players playing county opposition week after week.

I feel that SCL were late to get organised with a professional fundraiser instead using an old school tie contact and that they are being shortsighted not to invest in the future by trimming the budget elsewhere.

Any views?
