The mare took a deep breath as she watched the dragon take flight. She knew that it was Tess who had ordered this creature to leave, and knew also that she had come away lucky. Fighting dragons was a dangerous business. Now that she was out of immediate danger for the moment, she trotted around this room of stairs, as it seemed. She was no mage, and had little experience dealing with magic. However, it seemed obvious to her that she could not walk on a wall, whether stairs could be found there or not. The presence of magic was not frightening, but definately puzzling. Knowing that this was a test of some sort, she took a tentative step toward the steps on the floor...
