Subject: 9/3 Rock of Jericho report

1.Starts the show at 8:01PM with 2 Iced Earth songs:"Angels Holocaust" & "Stormrider".

2.Y2J says that's how he likes to start the show weekly on XM 41 Da Boneyard: http://tinyurl.com/6hmt6 , says it's Sunday night, it's The Rock Of Jericho: http://tinyurl.com/rssxe & says he's Chris Jericho your host. He says if you're tuning in for the 1st time, what in the blue hell where you waiting for & says if you're a long
time listener, welcome back & then sings the "Welcome Back" theme song from the "Welcome Back Kotter" TV show. He says he'll always get some good lounge singing on his show as well as great metal singing & says it includes Iced Earth's Matt Barlow. He says it was on where we heard the double shot, 1-2 punch, the world renowed, the very famous, often duplicated but never imitated 1-2 punch & it's from the "Night Of The Stormrider" album. He says "Angels Holocaust" & "Stormrider" are a couple of horror movie sounding tracks, says "Angels Holocaust" sounds crazy & says sarcastically "my goodness, I'm sacred, I'm sacred please, please, turn the lights on, please, please, please, help me, help me". He says he used to hear this comic book based band, says not for the fact that they sing about comic books but
thinks "Night Of The Stormrider" was almost like a comic book style record. He says he knows the album "Something Wicked This Way Comes" was based on a comic, says they also did the "Horror Show" record which's based on horror movies & says they have that kind of fantasy, fangoria, comic con background. He says their last album was "The Glorious Burden" which was about the Gettysburg battle & the civil war, says Jon Schaffer who's the main songwriter, riffer & musical genius in the band & says Jon likes to write about other things besides sheeps, daisies & I love you. He says Barlow who sang on the 2 tracks that he played is no longer with
the band & was replaced by "THE RIPPER" Tim Owens from Judas Priest & now lives in the "Iced Earth File". He says Iced Earth's 1 of those bands that has a huge
following in strange countries & mentions Greece, says Greece's the biggest Iced Earth territory where they go bananas for them & says why not because if he lived in
Greece, he'd be an Iced Earth fan also. He says Iced Earth's a name that they got by putting 2 words together which's like Edguy, says it don't have any meaning & says to him he always thought that it was a scientific theory or what the Earth was called during the Ice Ages where people would says "it was the Iced Earth era". He
then says he was overthinking because that wasn't the case, says it's just a fun, fancy name that they decided to call themselves. He says that's it, the mystery's been
exposed, says "Myth Busters my ass" & says he's the true myth buster & he busted the myth's about the Iced Earth name but the name's Edguy. He says Edguy just
took 2 sylibles that sounded funny & put them together & says it's not German for "power" or anything like that. He says he's writing his book now or memoirs about the
beginning of his wrestling career ["A Lion's Tale"] & says he remembers a story about what he 1st wanted to call himself when he 1st started wrestling. He says it was
based after a W.A.S.P. song, laughs & says yes he wanted to call himself "Chris Ballcrusher", says that's not true & says he wanted to call himself "Jack Action". He
says that was his name when he was thinking about going into wrestling, says he had a couple of ideas & "Jack Action" was what he decided on. He says even on his
college binder till he went to wrestling school in about a month after graduating from college & says his binder had "Jack Action" autographs all over it. He says the name ended it off with a star like the Paul Stanley star which he says he did use as Chris Jericho for many years. He says it was Chris Jericho & turned it into a star, says it's a total ripoff of Stanley & says if anyone has his autograph from '92, '99 or 2000, you'll see the star at the end of the letter "O" like Stanley has. He says he
wanted to be "Jack Action" & thought that was a great name for a wrestler, says Lance Storm: www.stormwrestling.com who he met on his 1st day at wrestling school
saw his binder with the "Jack Action" autographs, asked Y2J what that was & when he told Lance about that name, Lance told him that name sucks & it's a terrible name. He told Lance f*** you, asked as to what his name will be & then realized that "Jack Action" did suck. He says when he 1st saw the title song ["Jack Action"] on
"The Last Command" record, he thought it was "Jack Action" as if he was jacking himself off & that's his "Jack Action" that he gets to take away stress. He says maybe he should do some "Jack Action" by putting on some porno, watch Jenna Jameson & do his thing, but says "Jack Action" is about looking for some "Jack Action" which's an evil guy. He says that was gonna be his name "Jack Action", says if he didn't change it & if Lance didn't tell him how much it sucked, you'd be listening to XM 41 Da Boneyard with "The Jack Of Jericho" right here on a Sunday night.

3.Plays W.A.S.P.'s "Jack Action", Motorhead's "On The Road" & Stone Sour's "Come What [Ever]".

4.Y2J says "Come What [Ever]" is from their 2nd record of the same title "Come What [Ever]", says this is the band that Anthrax's Scott Ian has said it reminds him of
the 1st Foo Fighters record ["Foo Fighters"] about how he's so excited with such a new fresh type of music. He says Stone Sour has Corey Taylor who's 1 of the masked men in Slipknot, says the other masked guy in Slipknot is the clown guy "Jack Action" [NOTE FROM JEFF:It's really Shawn "Clown" Crahan]. He says that's the song that could've birthed his name if things went differently, says before that ["Come What [Ever]"] was some live Motorhead & says there ain't nothing better then
live Motorhead. He says his friend once told him that Motorhead live is like a pizza, he says "what do you mean friend?" & says his friends' response was that there's never a bad 1. He says even a bad pizza's good is what his friend says, corrects himself & says again "Motorhead's like a pizza, what do you mean, there's no such things as a bad Motorhead gig, there's no such thing as a bad pizza" & then says he don't know what the f*** his friend said. He says it was something about pizza &
Motorhead, says "On The Road" might've been on the "Hearing Aid" soundtrack & says he loved that while growing up & it wasn't just the soundtrack, but Motorhead live. He says Motorhead's the loudest band on the planet, says the Guinness Book Of World Records documented them as the loudest band & says he thinks Manowar's in there also. He asks you to email your request at messagesforchris@gmail.com & says he does play them, says a fan named Mark from Boston, MA knows that because tonight's 1-2 punch was Mark's idea & says somewhere in Boston, Mark's rocking like a mother****** now. He says somewhere worldwide & the world wide web, people are laughing because he could've been called "Jack Action", says we can't all be gems because he did come up with "Jericholic", "Y2J", "Lionhart", "Liontamer", "Walls Of Jericho", "Sexy Beast", "Never EEEEEEEEVER" & says he also came up with "Jack Action". He admits "Jack Action" wasn't a great
idea but it could've been some sort of gimmick & says gimmicks are what sells. He says you have to have a gimmick, says Crimson Glory, then "segway alert, WAH HO WAH HO" & says Florida's Crimson Glory had a gimmick. He says this is the band if you remember when you used to wear half face masks like "Phantom Of The Opera" & they were made of metal & says it's because "they're playing metal, get it?". He says it was 5 guys wearing half masks that didn't make sense & asks "why are you guys wearing masks, like is this "Phantom Of The Opera Rock", I don't understand" & feels they didn't know either. He feels they probably said "Hey look, look I
found this half metal mask on the floor, let's put it on & see how much we rock". He asks if they rocked, says yes but how far can you go with a half metal mask & says
maybe people probably said the same thing about Kiss, NY Dolls & bands like that & asks as to who's he to judge. He says Crimson Glory released a record 5 years ago, says they haven't released 10 years before that was & says it's called [as he pronounces it] "Astranemecan", then pronounces it correctly as "Astronomica". He
says this was like when his friend 1st tried to pronounce Metallica as "Met-lica" & says "Astronmenomica". He again pronounces it correctly as "Astronomica", says
from that album on XM41 Da Boneyard is the song "War Of The Worlds" & says he ain't talking about Spielberg.

5.Plays Crimson Glory's "War Of The Worlds", TNT's "All The Way To The Sun" & Slayer's "Catalyst".

6.Y2J says "Catalyst" is from the "Christ Illusion" album & says it's a ferocious new record by the most ferocious band in heavy metal history. He says there's more
extreme bands, faster bands, heavier bands & says there's not a more ferocious band that's angry [as Slayer]. He says Kerry King's an angry man, says if you know him in person that he's really not an angry man, but professionally, "ANGRY, I'M ANGRY, I'M ANGRY KERRY KING, I'M ANGRY JEFF HANNEMAN" & says he don't
know what the hell's going on. He says TNT's "All The Way To The Sun" is the title track from the album with the same name "All The Way To The Sun" , says that's what title track means & says if you've ever saw "title track" & didn't know what it meant, he's helping you on your way. He says TNT's been around for 20 years or so &
has guitarist Ronni Le Tekro who's a big influence on Zakk Wylde, then says maybe it's not an influence & says Zakk appreciates Ronni's guitar work as well as he [Y2J]. He says that's why TNT's always welcomed on the "RAJ", says it's like an old friend as well as AC/DC's always welcomed, says they won't be played tonight & tells the AC/DC fans to not throw tomatoes at him. He says 1st thing's that he's on the radio & you can't see him, says if he was in your face in person then feel free to
take your rotten fruit & hit him with it. He asks if you've ever seen "Rotten Fruit" by Eli Roth, says it's on the "Cabin Fever" DVD http://tinyurl.com/zy74t , says it's hilarious & says it's 1 of those stop motion Davey & Goliath type things. He says speaking of stop motion Davey & Goliath, again says "segway alert, WAH HO WAH HO" & says he'll talk about Ronnie James Dio & thinks that could be the new worst segway ever used on the "RAJ". He says there's a huge debate with people talking about Ozzy & how much of an influence he is, says he thinks he's said "huge" about 17 times in the last segment & says that's OK & it's show. He says there's also a
debate going on as to who's the best singer in Sabbath history & wonders if it's Ozzy or Dio. He says Ozzy's the originator who was there longer, but says Dio's 2
Sabbath records could be their best records ever in his opinion & says all total pure records, he agrees. He says he agrees with his own opinion, says Jeff Tate agrees
when he said Ozzy's Black Sabbath should be called "Black Suck" & says that's the most unoriginal insult in world history & says that's OK. He says he won't dispute
the fact that Dio could be the best singer in Sabbath history, asks fans to email him your opinions, then plugs www.chrisjericho.com & www.myspace.com/therockofjericho . He says this is a huge & hot debated story, says the thing's that now with Tenacious D's movie "The Pick Of Destiny":
www.tenaciousdmovie.com coming out & says it'll be great because Jack Black's in it & is the dad. He says Dio plays a big part in the movie & he's Jack's hero who comes out of the wall & gives advice that he mentioned a couple of weeks ago. He says you may see a huge Dio resurrgence & says if so, it's not to be confused with the Dio backlash that Johnny Zazula told him 6 years ago, by saying that the whole country's in the midst of a Dio backlash & said to him "what're you talking about you
crazy man". He says this could reinstate Dio's authority, says he'll play from the "Heaven & Hell" record a little Ronnie James Dio vocals with Toni Iommi's guitar, Geezer Butler's bass & asks as to who's on drums. He says it's not Bill Ward, but Vinny Appice who later ended up joining Ronnie James Dio. He asks if all of you got
the members & lineups ready to go & says this is "Lady Evil" from Jericho on the Rock.

7.Plays Black Sabbath's "Lady Evil" & Manowar's "Black Wind, Fire & Steel".

8.Y2J says "Black Wind, Fire & Steel" was from a fan named Victor from Moscow & it's from the "Fighting The World" record with classic Manowar lyrics. He says let's
just throw 3 of the heaviest things together & write a song about it, says that was another request played on the "RAJ" & says he skipped over an early request when
doing Crimson Glory's ["War Of The Worlds"] from "Astronomica" & says that was for Jennifer, who he says is the official slave girl for Crimson Glory. He says he don't
know if that's good & asks if you'd want to be a slave girl for them? He asks if you'd like to be the official slave girl for Brad Pitt, asks the official slave girl for Crimson Glory if she has her own metal mask, asks if that's part of the membership being the official slave girl & says he don't know & needs to know these things. He says she
had her request granted by [as he says it] "King Jericho", says it's not to be confused with King Booker: http://tinyurl.com/rp3zz & says he loves his horrible UK accent
also. He says again ["Black Wind, Fire & Steel"] was for Victor from Moscow, says this is a whole worldwide show & says it's The Rock Of Jericho with Rock Of
Jericholics everywhere. He says they're from Boston, Canada, Moscow, then rephrases it & says from Boston, Winnipeg, Moscow & says we're going worldwide. He asks if anyone from Japan listens to his show, says if so to email him a request & you'll get your name on the radio & says it's a fun time & it's fun to be mentioned on the radio. He says it's a great experience for him to say your name, asks if it gets any better than that or if you life gets any better than that. He says when he 1st started his show, he did lots of concept shows that had songs with the word "rock" in them or songs that dealt with Christmas. He says his program director at the time
who taught him lots about radio, told him that's cheesy, it's radio 101 & he don't want to do that because it makes him sound like he don't know what he's doing. He
thought he was being creative by coming in with his ideas with concept shows & thought it'd be great & the guy told Y2J that it'll be radio 101. He says now that Bob
Dylan's on XM Radio, then thought it was Sirius & says it's XM: www.xmradio.com/bobdylan [NOTE FROM JEFF:according to that link, he does it on 3 channels & it's ch.15: http://tinyurl.com/e6ktm , ch.40: http://tinyurl.com/h2f8h & even though it don't say a schedule, it's ch.75: http://tinyurl.com/s7rk9 ]. Anyhow he says Bob does a show based on concepts such, mentions an example of songs about the weather & Bob would do songs about the weather or he'll do songs about the days of the week
& says it's d-a-y-s & not d-a-z-e, says that was a Fozzy reference & he'll play some Fozzy later. He says Bob's doing radio 101 & says he [Y2J] is a such a higher class rock & roll DJ than Bob & says he don't waste his time on radio 101. He says he'll do a set now because he was sitting around like he does real well, says he was thinking of play some Autograph because they need to be debuted on the "RAJ". He says last week when he debuted 10 new bands on the show, says this week he wanted to debut Autograph & was thinking about their song "Can You Turn Up The Radio". He says that's the 1 song by them that everyone knows, asks if we really
need to hear it again, says it's a great song but says he prides himself by not playing hits & says he plays some hits. He says he tries to find other songs by the band,
wonders as to what other Autograph songs he knows & says he remembers "Night Teen & Non-Stop" from the record "That's The Stuff", which he says was a horrible
record title. He says he thought of "Night Teen & Non-Stop", says it's funny because there's a song called "17" by Winger & thought of Alice Cooper's "I'm 18" but was
also done by Anthrax from the album "Fistful Of Metal". He says that's the 1 song that didn't fit well, wondered as to why Anthrax did that song & says he'll have to ask Scott Ian. He says he'll now do an age thing on his show, says he saw Autograph live once opening for Motley Crue on the Theater Of Pain tour & says it was funny
because he remembered sitting on the floor. He says your friends would get tickets on the floor & says if they didn't have floor tickets, they'd walk out of the floor with 2
ticket stubs, give you 1 & you'd walk pass the old lady's checking stubs, says there'd be like tons of people on the floor that didn't have tickets but you'd outsmart them.
He says he was on the floor & there was bassist Randy Rand who looked like Stephen Pearcy, says he yelled "Randy, Randy" & when Randy looked up at him he gave
Y2J the thumbs up, says that was the greatest night of his life & says "RANDY RAND JUST SAID HI TO ME, OH MY GOD". He says Randy just plummeted straight
into obsecurity & says he followed behind him. He says this is his radio 101 set with ages of girls & guys, says it's a demographic & says it'll appeal to the 17-19
demographic. He says kicking it all off is the poster child for glam rock, the whipping boy of the 90's thanks to Lars Ulrich & Beavis & Butt-Head. He says it's Kip Winger with stubble chin & all right here on the "RAJ".

9.Plays Winger's "17", Anthrax's "I'm 18" & Autograph's "Night Teen & Non-Stop".

10.Y2J says that guy had the best whiskey voice & says it's Steve "Plunk" Plunkett & says his voice sounded like it was gonna tear out of his throat at any time. He says Autograph also had guitarist Steve Lynch who had his own guitar instructional book & video [which seems to be out of print & not on DVD: http://tinyurl.com/zmd42 ], says he was like a George Lynch type guy & was known as the master of the double handed, fret board technique that Van Halen would do.
He asks if anyone has that book which's probably worth pennies nowadays, says it had bassist Randy Rand who's his close, personal friend from the old days & times.
He says again Plunkett had a whiskey drenched voice which was a Rod Stewart type voice, says Rod has the best voice & Rod's doing song book standards & mentions "In The Mood" & "Stardust" & others but says Rod rocks with the best. He says lots of singers take tips & tricks from Rod's songbook, says that was 1 of them & says another 1 of the most Rod Stewart sounding singers of all time is Spike from the London Quireboys. He asks if you remember them & says they've been around for a cup of coffee back in the early 90's. He says they were a real kind of 70's vibe, good time rock & roll, beer parlor type rock with dudes just sounded with sand paper, whiskey glass vocals of Rod Stewart. He asks to do a comparison this week & wants to see how similiar these 2 songs sound, says it's not exactly riff wise as if it'll be the same riff but meant in style & feel. He says if 1 of the bands was on stage & played either 1 of these songs, it'd fit which's what he's saying. He says London Quireboys' very influenced by Rod Stewart & Faces, again asks to do a 1-2 punch comparison & a little bit of a radio 101. He says he's allowed to do that
because when you get so high up off 101, when you're like radio 707 then you can go back to 101 once in a while, then say hello & move on. He says let's do the double
shot of whiskey drenched vocals by the "very influenced by the Faces" London Quireboys, followed by the "very influencial to the London Quireboys Faces" & asked if you picked that up & saw where he was going with that. He asks you to follow the bouncing ball, right here in 3-2-1.

11.Plays London Quireboys' "7 O'Clock" & Faces' "Stay With Me".

12.Y2J says c'mon, you can't tell him that you didn't dig the song, says he knows some people get mad when he plays The Beatles, Queen, Cheap Trick or The Who,
says that was the Faces with Rod Stewart & Ron Wood & says he was there before joining the Rolling Stones. He says that's a great song, asks if it's heavy metal, says no but says this is The Rock Of Jericho & even though he's on Da Boneyard which's a metal channel, he likes to play more than that. He says he's more than just a metal guy & a radio 101 & says you gotta dig the vibe of the song because it's totally cool riff that you can drive down the highway, turn it up & go crazy. He says that's totally a great vibe, says London Quireboys almost sounding a like a Faces song & asks if you heard the comparison there & says there is. He says he & his friend Paul Gilbert played together on the Iron Maiden tribute record "Numbers Of The Beast" that was produced by Bob Kulick. He says Paul's a very accomplished solo artist & guitarist, says he played with Mr. Big, Racer X, has lots of solo records of his own, plays with Mike Portnoy on every single 1 of Mike's tribute bands because Paul's the 1 that knows every 1 of those songs & says he's that type of guy. He says Paul knows every Beatles, Led Zeppelin, Who & Rush songs & everything in between, says Paul's very popular in Japan & lived there for while & married a Japanese girl [Emi]. He says there's a famous Japanese DJ named Masa Ito who's got a huge weekly metal show, says Paul was smart enough to write a song called "Masa Ito" that's played at the beginning of every show. He says at this big weekly metal show, Paul's song is used as the intro every time & asks as to how's smart is that. He says Paul has a new solo record called "Get Out Of My Yard", says the thing that's cool about it is that on the front cover, Paul's wielding a Hofner guitar. He says you've seen the Hofner bass which's Paul McCartney's bass & says
Paul has a Hofner guitar, asks as to how cool's that & says that's the type of guy Paul is. He says Paul has to play on stage with big earphones which's like the '70's
type of headphones & this is due to his hearing problems. He asks if you see how this is, says to all of the inspiring rockers to wear earplugs, says he never does, says
Paul probably never did either & now he has to due to his hearing issues. He says it's not all fun & games, says Pete Townshend's deaf, Paul's going deaf, says he
himself can be deaf too & asks "WHAT?". He says Paul & Billy Sheehan were in Mr. Big, says they were a very talented rock & roll band & says if you don't believe him, here's the "Colorado Bulldog" here on a Sunday night.

13.Plays Mr. Big's "Colorado Bulldog" & Fozzy's "Enemy".

14.Y2J says that's ["Enemy"] for Gina in Knoxville, Tennessee, says hello Gina my lovely & says "Enemy" from his band "The Foz", which was a big hit single that got
played on a 100 different stations last year. He says Fozzy's not working on a new record because they haven't had time yet, says they will & plugs their 9/30 Delicious
Rox Festival in Sedalia, Missouri which's outside of Kansas City: http://tinyurl.com/qdzco & pleads for you to come to the show. He says they'll be with Drowning Pool & Saliva, says they'll be playing songs by both bands in a couple of weeks & says until then, just listen to "Foz". He says lots of people thought when he 1st started his
show that it was gonna be a vehicle for him to play countless Fozzy songs over & over, says he did but has had the show for almost 2 years & says he don't want to do
that weekly because how many songs can he possibly play. He says he's looking for new bands to play on his show, asks if you know any to email him & asks Gina, Victor in Moscow, Jennifer "the official slave girl for Crimson Glory", Mark in Boston & asks to "hep" him out. He says he tell you what new songs he'll play, says when
Paul Stanley's "Live To Win" solo record comes out [on 10/24: http://tinyurl.com/gcyeg ] which's the 1st in 28 years & asks if it's been that long. He says '78 when Paul's solo record came out, 2006's when "Live To Win", says that's 28 years man & says we're all getting older & says there's nothing wrong with that. He says Paul still looks like he's 25 on the album cover with all the air brushing & says when you see him in person, that's not really the case. He says the songs on "Live To Win" are just as good as Paul's ever written, says he's heard about a jackoff that said on the internet "absolutely free, download copy of 'Live To Win'" & says that's bull****, not fair, not how you do it & not right. He says he ain't down with that clown, says when "Live To Win" comes out he'll buy it live in person, says he don't have a problem listening to it now & says he won't download it but will buy it. He says there's some colaberations with Desmond Child who he talked about a couple of weeks ago, says
Marti Frederiksen's another famous songwriter, says John Lowery who's John 5 was in Marilyn Manson, David Lee Roth & now in [Rob] Zombie's band & says he played
with Paul Stanley on this record. He says this was gonna be produced by Bob Kulick, but dropped out when he said there's not enough guitar on the record, says he himself heard lots of guitar on it & says maybe there's a problem between Paul & Bob. He says Bob was the guy who almost was in Kiss when Ace Frehley got the gig,
then wound up in Kiss on "Alive II" & "Killers" by playing overdubs & says Bob's brother Bruce was in Kiss. He says this ain't about Kiss, it's about Paul & will play from
some of his original solo record that Bob did play guitar on with the awesome drums by Carmine Appice. He says this is from Paul's solo record 28 years ago right here in 2006, says it's The Rock Of Jericho & playing it live worldwide.

15.Plays Kiss' "Take Me" & Guns 'N' Roses' "Get In The Ring" [NOTE FROM JEFF:I assuming this is the song that inspired the name of the now retired radio show "Get In The Ring": www.getinthering.tv with Sir Adam & The Phantom].

16.Y2J says "Get In The Ring" is for [as he says it] Christan "mother*******" Graves & says that was from the "Use Your Illusion" album. He says that's how she sent in
her name as Christan "mother*******" Graves & says don't think he's putting in swear words into people's names in random places. He says he got a good batch of
requests, says your requests do come true, says his favorite part of the song ["Get In The Ring"] which he loves & says it's the part that says "At a total combined weight of 850lbs, Guns 'N' Roses". He says at that time there were 6 guys in the band, asks as to what 850lbs' divided by 6 comes to & says "100, 250 divided by 6 & says it's like 140lbs" & says each guy's like 142lbs: http://tinyurl.com/5heyz of crushing muscle or 142lbs of twisted steel & sex appeal. He says he loved it & Axl got the s*** kicked out of him by Tommy Hilfiger early this year, says they better not get too brassy & says Vera Wang's looking for a fight. He says he's done & that's it for
this week, says he's over, finished, gone, done & out & will leave you with a tidbit from the new Iron Maiden record "A Matter Of Life & Death". He says he's talked about
it & asks as to who the hell's Benjamin Breeg, says he mentioned before that he's a tortured artist from the '30's who disappeared mysteriously: www.benjaminbreeg.co.uk . He says he thought he was a gate to the other worldm, says the reincarnation can possibly be "Eddie", says the new record's coming out
[NOTE FROM JEFF:It came out 9/5: http://tinyurl.com/m5l38 ] & are playing a handful of dates in the States: http://tinyurl.com/z2mpo & they're 10 shows. He says if you wanna see them go out & see them because they won't return till the next record & says it could be 3 years from now. He then gives you a history lesson by saying
Maiden's huge worldwide, says they still have a following in the States but they're not playing for 60,000 fans but maybe 10,000.
