Subject: Toshiba Satellite Pro 6000 crashes

My Toshiba Satellite Pro 6000 keeps crashing during normal use. The screen becomes pixellated and white noise comes from the speakers. I have heard that this could be due to the display connector pin breaking (info at www.berick.com/toshibapower.html). I am pretty certain that this is the case but the computer seems to crash randomly, rather than when taking a knock. However, the pixels / lines that appear on the screen change from a blueish tinge to a greenish one instantly when i tap the casing just to the right of the left-hand mouse button.

Has anyone else had this problem? How did you deal with it? Can you trust Toshiba or a store to repair it?

Any response will be greatly appreciated.
