Subject: Solo 9100 bios password

been looking all over for an answer to the question how do you reset the bios password, or the protection password on a gateway solo 9100 laptop.

according to gateway if you don't have the password backed up to disk you are out of luck and have to take the computer in and have them take care of the problem.....

now this seems like something a computer company would do, but having been around computers a few years I know there must be a few of you out there with a solution to this problem.
