Subject: Toshiba Satellite M

I have a toshiba satellite M laptop computer. Everytime I connect to the internet using dialup, I manage to stay on maybe 3 or 4 minutes and then I get kicked off. I get a message saying check my settings or restart the computer. Well, what settings are they referring to. I also have a dell laptop that I connect to the internet with also using dial up and it never kicks me off. So there is not a phone line problem rather a computer problem. Toshiba cus. ser. tried to walk me through possible problems but I still get the same problem. I've only had computer about 20 days. Cus. Ser. Rep. said I might have a bad modem. For goodness sake. Bad modem on a computer only 20 days old. I will never buy another toshiba computer. Got this one from Walmart for 1000.00. Rip off
