Subject: satellite pro 6000 screen flickering

Hi, I have a toshiba satellite pro 6000 and my screen flickers. Sometimes it stops after a few seconds and other times it just keeps on going, i turn it off and turn it back on after a while and it's fine for a while. Sometimes it dose it and sometimes not. The bottom of the screen seems to be hot as well, can anyone help.
