I had similar problem with mine. The solution I found was this (Sounds radical but it worked) (1) Remove modem (2) Turn computer off then back on with the camera connected and power on. (3) The modem should reinstall itself (4) Open up the camera program and change the communication port setting (mine would connect on COM3) - Get on and dowload. This worked for me, but was a bit of a bind. I've now got a modern digital with USM connection - lot easier. Jim
