Subject: Toshiba Tecra Battery Problem

I have a Toshiba Tecra 520CDT that I thought had a dud battery.

It will start if AC power is applied, shows battery connected and charging for minute or two then shows battery charged. Disconnect AC and the thing dies - i.e. battery will not keep it running, will not start without AC power.

Got a brand new battery - exactly the same.

Please help.
