Subject: Toshiba 4000CDS display problem

Hello, I hope someone here would be so kind to help me out on a problem that I got.

My laptop got a problem with the display.
The screen got light, I guess it is the backlight I see.
But I got no picture on the screen, only the light.
When I connect to a external monitor, the display is correct, so the problem is only on the lcd screen.
The contrast switch do not work either.
Everything else works on the laptop.


I have checked all the cables on the laptop, but they all seems good.

If I only knew what was wrong I could have ordered the parts and fixed it. I would be extremely gratefull for any help.
