I think I like your translation better than what it really means. :-)

Yeah, I know. Weird, us Swedes. Ask Jay, she'll tell you about some of the "Swedish" that "accidentally" appears in my first drafts. Her favourite is when I wrote "She saw it for her inner eye..." Needless to say, she was quite baffled. *grin* We also have sayings like "walking like a cat around hot porridge". End of anthropology lesson 1#. :-)
