Hi All,
I am new to this forum and was asked by a member to post this message here.
If you plan to be in Downey for the 20th anniversary of Karen's passing, I am hosting a Carpenters fan get-together for dinner at Sambi's restaurant on Saturday night Feb 1st.
As you may know Karen and Richard frequented this Japanese restaurant quite often in the mid seventies (see the photo in the Coleman book). Richard occasionally ate there with Mary before he moved to Thousand Oaks, CA. His picture is on the wall in the restaurant.
If you would like to go, please send me an email so I can call the restuarant to make reservations. FYI, there are 6 people that are confirmed so far. I am expecting approximately 10-12 people.
