P-line has a stronger breaking point than it is weighted at. For example... 15# p-line will really break at like 18#+ (not sure of numbers, but you get the idea). Well, that rules you out of any IGFA record. IGFA will not recognize fish landed with P-line.

It is not really that great of line anyway. Ande has way too much memory, and is backlash friendly. If you want the best, and this is not spamming, look into Izorline. That is all i use anymore. The Red Rooster III is sponsored by Izor, and that helps, but i have been using it since before starting on the RRIII. It is very supple and easy to tie knots with, and it is very strong.

Another good line is SoftSteele. Kinda hard to find, and kinda pricey, that stuff is pretty hot. Just a thought.
