I have not had any recent experience with the Sealine-X series but I do remember when they were first released I was on a 10 day trip and one of the other passengers had 4 of them and 3 of them broke before he even had a chance to use them. A couple of them just froze up and another one I believe had the dog spring break. His reel had no anti-reverse.

Other than those problems they cast really well and have a pretty good drag system. I am not sure if Diawa has addressed the problems yet but they might have.

Have you tried the Newell's yet? I have heard many stories of the handles breaking off but I have been using them for over 15 years to throw iron and have never had a problem.

Hopefully someone else here can give you a more recent opinion on the Diawas.
